LRT Jakarta Integrates Data to Improve Services

PT LRT Jakarta integrates passenger movement information data into one data center, which is sheltered by the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub)'s Data and Information Center (Pusdatin).

This data integration is deemed to assist the LRT Jakarta in supporting the implementation of data management and information services, as well as an integrated and real-time information system.

PT LRT Jakarta Secretary Division Head, Sheila Indira Maharshi said the company is trying to conduct its vision of becoming the best public mobility solution in Indonesia by focusing on the value it provides to LRTJ customers.

Besides focusing on safe and comfortable services and developing human resources, there are also modern and integrated systems, and technology.

"Data on the use of transportation services keeps transforming into an actual and integrated system," she expressed, Wednesday (3/1).

Besides an integrated data system, LRT Jakarta is committed to innovating in providing services to passengers such as the implementation of the LRTJ program that is cyclist-friendly, disability-friendly, and child- and women-friendly, which is completed with the Friends of Women and Children Post (SAPA Post) and the Health Post located in all stations.

"LRT Jakarta continues to grow, increasing the inclusiveness of public transportation for all levels of society," she continued.

Related to service commitment, the company consistently maintains Minimum Service Standards (SPM) in its operations.

Its existence was expected to facilitate community mobility and encourage the integration of public transport modes in Jakarta. LRT Jakarta is always open to collaborating with stakeholders in order to support the company to innovate and optimizing its business strategy.

"LRTJ is moving swiftly, thus it can progress and develop in the future," she stated.

She added various technological sophistication to complement the operation of the LRT Jakarta such as the LRT, which is driven electrically with power taken from below (Underflow Electricity) using the Third Rail or third rail. To support the security side, the LRTJ is designed to be elevated because the LRT rail track contains high-voltage electricity, namely 750 VDC.

As a modern rail-based public transportation operator, LRT Jakarta is supported by an integrated system with intermodal transportation services.

"The operational features implemented in the LRT Jakarta have also been improved in order to provide safe and comfortable services for LRTJ customers," she stated.
